"According to "The History and Genealogy of the Gov. John Webster Family", pg 416& 417, Simon Smith married Mercy Webster Loveland on Aug 11, 1816. She was his 2nd wife, his 1st wife Phebe died May 3 1814.
Mercy had 3 children with her 1st husband George Loveland. Elizabeth, Joel, and Hannah. She had a child with Simeon Smith, her name was Angelina Smith and she married James Wilmarth Shores on May 29, 1836. I am a descendant of Elizabeth Loveland, she married the nephew of her stepfather. His name was also Simeon Smith and he was the son of Ezra Smith. Ezra and his family moved to Genesee County, Michigan.
