| Wildly differing information about William and his wife is to be found in various places. William's wife is referred to as Margey or Margery KNIGHT or THAYER, with complete disagreement about her parents and birthdate. Much of the information found on this couple is patently absurd; for example, one web page (I won't dignify it by giving the URL) has Margery born when her mother was age 56, dying at age 58, and having her last child six years after her death, while William is claimed to have born when his father and mother were ages 10 and 6, respectively. The information shown here is the best I have available, but clearly this couple is problematic. |
